Breed(s): Pit Bull
Age: About 2 years old
Weight: About 70 lbs
Reason for being at shelter: Surrender — can’t keep
General info: Athena is the SWEETEST girl! Athena used to be good with other animals, but as she matured she now prefers to be the ONLY pet in the home! Athena will need a very well fenced yard, and an owner that can keep a close eye on her (she likes to escape, and she’s very good at it!). Athena loves to be loved, and she needs an experienced owner to provide her with all the best!!
Adoption fee (includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies vaccine, and a health check from a vet): $120

Name: Maggie
Breed(s): Lab mix
Age: About 7 years old
Weight: About 80 lbs
Reason for being at shelter: Owner Surrender (with Buddy)
General info: Maggie is a new arrival. She came in with her friend Buddy. While she likes Buddy, she is not too fond of other dogs. Maggie is used to living out in the country with lots of room to roam. We will update more info soon!
Adoption fee (includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies vaccine, and a health check from a vet): $120

Name: Wilbur
Breed(s): Black lab mix
Age: About 10 years old
Weight: About 85 lbs
Reason for being at shelter: Arrived as a stray
General info: Wilbur is a sweetheart! And he LOVES to catch treats! Wilbur came to us as a stray, so we don’t know his background, but he seems to be a very good boy! He does have some muscle atrophy and developing arthritis in his hind legs, but he still gets around OK. Wilbur would love a new home with a big cushy bed, a nice yard to roam in, and an owner that will cherish him in his remaining years!
Adoption fee (includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies vaccine, and a health check from a vet): $65

Name: Coyote Man
Breed(s): Mixed! We don’t know!
Age: About 10 years old.
Weight: About 20 lbs
Reason for being at shelter: Arrived as a stray
General info: Coyote Man is an awesome little dog! He’s calm, polite, quiet and sweet! He’s good with other dogs and cats, and would probably be OK with older kids. Coyote Man walks well on a leash, appears to be fully house trained, and although he is in rough shape from being a stray, he’s in good health and ready to find that right retirement home where he can relax and enjoy life!
Adoption fee (includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies vaccine, and a health check from a vet): $65

Name: Krakatoa (Toa for short)
Breed(s): Pit bull
Age: 3.5 years
Weight: About 60 lbs
Reason for being at shelter: Owner Surrender
General info: Toa is a neat little dog! He is STRONG and FEISTY. Toa is super friendly with people, and gentle taking treats, but he does not enjoy being around other animals, so Toa would do best as an only pet. Toa will need an experienced owner to handle him and keep him safe.
*Toa will be available to go home after he is NEUTERED!
Adoption fee (includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies vaccine, and a health check from a vet): $120

Name: Bob Barker
Breed(s): Hound mix
Age: About 10 years old
Weight: About 100 lbs
Reason for being at shelter: Owner Surrender
General info: Bob is a good boy with a big heart (and belly!). Bob can be quite loud in his kennel, but he just wants the attention! Bob HATES having his nails cut (he needs to be sedated to have them cut), but he does walk well on a leash. He needs a new owner that will be committed to helping Bob lose a few pounds so he can remain healthy in his golden years.
Adoption fee (includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies vaccine, and a health check from a vet): $65

Name: Ceelo
Breed(s): Possible chow mix
Age: About 3 years old
Weight: About 70 lbs
Reason for being at shelter: Arrived as a stray; owner chose not to pick up
General info: Ceelo is an ENERGETIC BOY! He is a good dog, with a good heart, but he needs some training! He will also need a very well fenced yard because he gets bored easily and will try to create his own adventure… Ceelo is not good with other dogs, and we don’t think he would like cats, either. Also, older kids would be best for Ceelo, because he jumps around a lot and may knock down small kids. Ceelo’s haircoat is VERY fluffy and will require either shaving, or lots of brushing.
Adoption fee (includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies vaccine, and a health check from a vet): $120

Nash is a new arrival, and he was a stray, so we are just now getting to know him. He appears to be very calm and mature. He has a pleasant demeanor and soulful eyes. We are not sure if Nash had a good life before coming to us… We think Nash is in need of an owner that will be able to spoil him in his remaining years!
Adoption fee (includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies vaccine, and a health check from a vet): $120

Jersey is a super cute little pit bull. She is, young, spayed, in good health and a great size at only about 45 lbs. She’s a calm girl and has shown us that she is willing to learn if you’re willing to offer treats! Though, she does have issues with food allergies, so a non-chicken, grain-free food would be a necessity.
Jersey does very well with older kids, *some* dogs, and she lived very successfully with a cat in her previous home. Jersey also needs a securely fenced yard and plenty of walks to keep her well exercised and content. She is NOT the type of dog you can just leave in the yard all day… If you are looking for a neat little pit bull girl to keep you company and make you feel safe, Jersey just might be the one!
Duke just came back from our prison training program! He learned basic obedience, leash manners, and socialized with lots of different people. Even though he has been through lots of training, Duke still has some reservations with new people and situations. He can be nervous at times and untrusting until he gets to know you. Because of this, Duke should not live in an active home with lots of visitors or kids… Also, he would do best in a home where he will be kept indoors, not just left outside by himself.
Adoption fee (includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies vaccine, and a health check from a vet): $120

Eve was very scared when we first got her, but she has since become very sweet!  Eve needs to go to a home where she will be the only pet, and where there are no
kids.  She can be very protective of her home so she will need a fenced yard to keep her safe.

Dutchess is a sweet and happy girl who can get nervous with new people — however, tasty treats help to win her over! She appears fairly calm in her kennel, but we are told that she likes to escape from the yard! So, Dutchess will need a very secure yard to keep her safe at home.
We are not too sure how she is with other animals, but due to her nervous nature, we think she would do best in a home with no small children (they might scare her too much!).
Adoption fee (includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies vaccine, and a health check from a vet): $120
LuLu is so happy! LuLu is a very sweet pit bull girl that needs a home that can spend lots of time with her (LuLu can get herself into a bit of trouble if she gets bored…). LuLu needs a home with no other dogs, and has lived with cats successfully. She would make a great family dog looking for a big happy bulldog!
