Dogs

These dogs are available:

Gunner is a nice boy! He is a new arrival so we don’t know much about him, but he does great with his “sister” Pebbles (Boston Terrier mix). Gunner is past his crazy terrier days and is now looking for that perfect retirement home where he can kick back and relax.
Adoption fee (includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies vaccine, and a health check from a vet): $100 for BOTH Gunner and Pebbles
Pebbles is a sweetheart! She does his cute little dance when you scratch her butt — it’s adorable! Pebbles is a new arrival, she came in with her “brother” Gunner.
Adoption fee (includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies vaccine, and a health check from a vet):$100 for BOTH Gunner and Pebbles
Quincy was VERY scared when he came to us. He did not trust us very much, but once he found out that people weren’t going to hurt him, he has warmed up a lot! We are still learning about Quincy, so we will update more soon!
Albie came to us once before as a stray, but this time his owner did not come back for him… Albie can be a bit shy with new people, but he’s warming up pretty quick — though, he still maintains his independent streak. Albie had an issue with flea allergies, and he’s doing better with growing his hair back, but he still has a ways to go. We think Albie would do best in a quiet, adult-only home where he can get lots of attention. He will need a well fenced yard (he has a history of wandering) and an owner that can keep up on his flea control and offer him a high quality diet. Albie has not been barking very much at the shelter, but that might change when he is comfortable in a new home. If you come to the shelter to see Albie, you might think he’s not in his kennel, but he is probably hiding under his blankies! (he likes to burrow). Adoption fee (includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies vaccine, and a health check from a vet):$150
Duke just came back from our prison training program! He learned basic obedience, leash manners, and socialized with lots of different people. Even though he has been through lots of training, Duke still has some reservations with new people and situations. He can be nervous at times and untrusting until he gets to know you. Because of this, Duke should not live in an active home with lots of visitors or kids… Also, he would do best in a home where he will be kept indoors, not just left outside by himself.
Adoption fee (includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies vaccine, and a health check from a vet): $120

Bodie is a very timid boy and you really need to earn his trust before he will be friends with you…  He was brought to us for behavioral problems, so who ever adopts him will have to be very patient and go slow with his socializing and training. Bodie has been spending time up in the front office with us and he has been very friendly with most of the staff.  He is still very timid with strangers though, so we are giving him his space and allowing him to come to us when he is ready.

Eve was very scared when we first got her, but she has since become very sweet!  Eve needs to go to a home where she will be the only pet, and where there are no
kids.  She can be very protective of her home so she will need a fenced yard to keep her safe.

Dutchess is a sweet and happy girl that can get nervous with new people — however, tasty treats help to win her over! She appears fairly calm in her kennel, but we are told that she likes to escape from the yard! So, Dutchess will need a very secure yard to keep her safe at home.
We are not too sure how she is with other animals, but due to her nervous nature, we think she would do best in a home with no small children (they might scare her too much!).
Adoption fee (includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies vaccine, and a health check from a vet): $120
Billy is a VERY energetic boy! Billy would do best with a dog experienced owner that can bring out his potential. Right now, Billy tends to jump up on who ever is walking him and will try to grab the leash with his mouth. He will also bark to get your attention… What he really needs is just a committed owner that can provide him with consistent training, LOTS of exercise, and a stable, happy life. In the right hands Billy will be a great dog! Billy has been neutered and he’s ready to go to his new home! Adoption fee (includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies vaccine, and a health check from a vet): $120
