Director’s Column

Executive Director, Marybeth WegenerWe are so grateful to our supporters who are quick to respond when we have a need.

Anytime we post requests for things like canned cat food or paper towels on Facebook or our reader board, our friends are happy to help.

Safeway donationThank you so much to the employees and customers at the Safeway on Lincoln for a recent food drive that resulted in more than 400 pounds of cat and kitten food and a pallet of cat litter donated to OPHS. We appreciate you so much!

If you want to stay in touch with OPHS and what’s happening at the shelter, check out our website at www.ophumanesociety.org or visit our Facebook and Instagram pages.

See How Far We’ve Come in a Year!

We’re so close to reaching our goal of $1.4 million to complete the building project on Old Olympic Highway.

If you have driven by the Olympic Peninsula Humane Society’s new site at 1743 Old Olympic Highway, you’ve seen the progress we’ve been making on our new dog kennel building. It is so exciting to witness the dream becoming a reality.

To date, we have raised $1.27 million of our $1.4 million goal! All of this money is from private donations- people who understand the need and have been willing to make a monetary commitment to this important project.

We are so close to the finish line and with your help, we can reach our goal and complete the building with no debt!

Please help us as we work to raise the final $130,000 to finish the project. Your gift will ensure that the animals we care for have a healthy and comfortable environment in which to thrive.

Thank You Badger Run!

Koenig Subaru Loves Pets

A big thanks to Koenig Subaru for their promotion that has been going on this month! We have featured an animal each week and Koenig has vowed to pay half of the adoption fee if it is adopted during that week. So far, we have adopted out two lucky dogs. Their owners not only received the discounted adoption fee, they also were presented with a congratulatory goodies bag featuring awesome pet items from Subaru.

Our last animal in this promotion is Wendy. Click here to see her profile.
